“Since my college I was observing children who instead of getting educated were involved in child labour just to earn small amount of money. While I was preparing for my govt. job, I saw that thousands of young aspirants were living in a small place just for the sake of coaching and mainly to get the study like environment to in a hope to get their dream job. Many of them didn’t had the money to join coaching but still they were preparing since years in a hope to get the job . But only few were able to get the job and rest choose other feasible/ less deserving job . They somehow ruined their future as they didn’t have enough money & guidance to pursue their dreams. This made a big impact on my mind and I decided that If I get the job I desire, I will help such students who cannot afford coaching fees.
never thought that I will run a NGO. I was doing good in my Govt job( as an Engineer in Indian Railways) after graduating as a Civil Engg. from H.B.T.I, Kanpur. My aim was to spread education to the thrust area. I believe, that an individual’s development depends on its education level and so, nation’s development depend on each and every individual’s development”.
– Sushil Kumar Meena (Founder)
I travelled from North India to South India during my journey from Graduation to Job. I graduated in Comp. Science & Engg. from H.B.T.I, Kanpur(U.P). After doing few private jobs in Delhi NCR, I finally joined a Nationalized bank as an Officer in Bangalore. This entire time period of 7 yrs I travelled many places and saw deprived lifestyle of the underpriviliged . It was shocking to see that Inspite of day to day’s technological advancement and increasing level of comforts , It was distressing that still majority of our people are struggling for basic necessities such as Food, Water, Clothing and shelter. I wanted to do something for it and got Sushil’s support.
In 2013, we started “Nirmaan Coaching Sansthan” together and started providing free coaching classes for govt job aspirants of weaker section. We worked after office hours and in holidays. In parallel to this we also started to teach little children from slums who were involved in child labour or were school dropouts or have never went to schools. . Within few months our children increased . In 2014 we also contacted many reputed and world-famous NGO’s, institutions to help these children but either we did not get any response or we got answers which disappointed us . At last we acknowledged the need of time, we made up our mind. We shared our idea with few more friends and finally decided to form our own organisation and we registered “NIRBHED FOUNDATION” in July 2015 with a sole aim to deliver education, food and other basic necessities to the deprived/underprivileged children/families at their door steps.
We set our own rules to spread education with flexible timings according to students and we enroll throughout the year.
